Why not join us to help remove reeds and clean up a stretch of the River Ripoll on Saturday 28 February? This is a voluntary activity open to the whole UAB community.
The FAS is organising an Environmental Protection Day to remove reeds and waste along a stretch of the River Ripoll in the city of Sabadell, in collaboration with the UAB Environmental Office (OMA) and the Association for the Defence and Study of Nature.

The activity will take place on Saturday 28 February from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. The meeting point for volunteers will be the Renfe train station Sabadell-Nord, at 10 a.m.

It is an activity open to the entire UAB community. It is also a great opportunity for international students to participate voluntarily in an activity that allows them to meet other people and help to improve the university environment.

Last year's edition was described as "fun and rewarding" by participants. The activity led to a joint reflection about the situation of the River Ripoll and how to recycle and manage wasteat home. They also reflected on how all this is managed in other countries, with contributions from the international students participating.

If you want to volunteer for this Environmental Protection Dayand help clean up the River Ripoll in the city of Sabadell, you can sign up by sending an email to fas.caixesniu@gmail.com.
