The international software company Petroleum Experts donates software licences to the Department of Geology for a total value of 1.3M pounds.
Software MOVE Petroleum Experts
The structural geology and petroleum engineering software company Petroleum Experts Ltd., with headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland, has donated 10 MOVE suite software licences to the UAB Department of Geology, valued in 1,300.000 sterling pounds.
 
MOVE suite is the leading software used for 3D Structural Geology modelling, and consists of numerous kinematic and mechanical analysis modules, including digital mapping toolkits for fieldwork.
 
The programme will be used by UAB graduate students, as well as by lecturers and researchers of the Department of Geology in research tasks conducted on the tectonics of mountain ranges such as the Pyrenees, the Atlas and the Andes.
