On the occasion of 28 April, International Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona joins the celebration promoted by the Catalan Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (ICSSL) to raise awareness about the prevention of occupational hazards.
This year's commemorative poster was designed by Paula Pérez López, student at the Serra i Abella School of Art and Design, with the slogan “Risks at Bay”. This work is part of the project “Prevention, a Safe Value” (2024-2025), within the “Creative Talent and Enterprise” programme of the Catalan Ministry for Education. This initiative seeks to promote creativity and commitment to occupational risk prevention through collaborations between art and design schools and the business world.
In addition, the Catalan Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has prepared an featured article entitled “30 years of Law 31/1995: A journey towards quality occupational safety and health”, which reflects on the impact of the current legislation and raises new challenges to adapt to the transformations in the occupational world and emerging risks.
The UAB invites the entire university community to consult the website of the Catalan Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and to participate in activities to move towards a safer and healthier work culture.
