A Coruña Mayor Inés Rey praised “the high level” of the winning proposals. “The Prismas Awards are a benchmark for scientific communication and dissemination in Spain”, she said. She also declared that the city and the work of the network of A Coruña Scientific Museums are "the flagship of dissemination and a real scientific counter army" for the new generations.

“The Science Carriage is an innovative approach to the dissemination of UAB research that has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya and the FECYT, as well as the involvement of many people at the University motivated to bring science to society and promote scientific culture. For the University, receiving this award is a recognition of the work of all the research staff and the entire team, and it encourages us to continue working in the dissemination of science,” saidvice-Rector for Communication and Culture Virginia Luzon.

The Science Carriage travels on the Barcelona-Vallès train line of the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya during the academic year. It offers informative facts on relevant scientific topics. The first edition, which took place during the 2023/24 academic year, was dedicated to mental health, and the current edition focuses on how to reduce the use of fossil fuels. In addition to the infographics displayed inside the train carriage, the proposal includes audio-guided podcasts and interviews with University research staff. It also includes an activity, “The Expert's Seat”, in which research personnel take the train ride and interact with the passangers to talk about their research topic.

The jury selected winners of the Prisma Award in eight categories: video, new media, edited book, journalistic article, radio, unique project, ocean awareness and dissemination project, and a special Prisma Award from the jury. In addition, all categories, except for the edited book and the jury's special Prisma Award, received a prize of 4,000 euros.
