UAB students can enjoy discounts for the French Theatre Festival
The French theatre festival Oui! Festival this year reaches its seventh edition and will be held from 26 January to 11 February in different venues of Barcelona, Castelldefels and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat. UAB students can buy tickets at a 50% discount rate by using the code UAB24.
All theatre plays include subtitles in Catalan or Spanish. The festival programme offers plays by Fabian Chappuis, Alexandra Badea, Julie Timmerman, Joanna Boyé, Louise Doutreligne, the Panta théâtre (Guy Delamotte and Véro Dahuron), Fida Mohissen and Mathilde Berthenod.
It also includes a Km0 section which each year focuses on artistic creations of resident artists in Barcelona. This year, the play Le Chevalier D'Éon (Éon's Horse) by Luc Tallieu will be presented. In addition to the performances, the festival organises a series of parallel activities, such as dramatised readings of theatre plays, meetings based on specific themes of interest, debates with authors and artists, etc.
The Oui! Festival is one of the only events focused on theatre in french that takes place outside of a French-speaking country. This year, 75% of the texts have been written by women playwrights and talk about transmission, identity, bipolarity, etc. The festival is organised by the associations Mise en Lumière (Paris/Alfortville) and Barna-Bé (Barcelona), and also includes the UAB as a collaborating entity.
