The Nostrum has become one of the star activities of the FAS. It combines training activities with experiential spaces that enhance cooperative learning, critical thinking and a sense of belonging. It also serves to strengthen the link with the entity, reaffirm the commitment to the activity and give a strong impetus to its motivation.

This year, in the context of a pandemic, the Nostrum has been reformulated to be able to offer training in virtual format in three different thematic sessions. The first edition took place in three sessions in November and December via Zoom.

In this second edition, the Nostrum also has three sessions scheduled:

  • Wednesday 24 February (from 4pm to 6pm): Raquel Ballesteros "Conflict and boundary management". Setting boundaries and expressing our desires, opinions and needs with balance and determination is something that can be difficult for us in some areas (personal or professional). Maybe we feel we lose our temper and become "aggressive" or we may end up repressing, avoiding or giving in without wanting to. Learning to take care of ourselves and at the same time take care of the others is a task we can learn.
  • Wednesday 3 March (from 4pm to 6pm): Laura Arnau “Volunteering by skills: tools and keys to enriching the volunteer's experience.” Beyond regulated university training, volunteering is increasingly perceived as a privileged space in which we can incorporate, develop and improve the transversal competencies necessary to carry out any job. The workshop aims to offer volunteers tools and strategies to improve their transversal competencies in the different contexts of volunteering.
  • Wednesday, March 10 (from 4pm to 6pm): Som Mandragores "Sexuality through pleasure". This workshop addresses sexuality without taboos and from a feminist perspective. Through participatory dynamics that generate debate between the participants and that allow them to reflect on the myths and taboos around sexuality. Dealing with sexuality from pleasure and diversity and making a critical analysis of the model of sexuality in today's society.

Sessions will be on the Zoom platform and attendance is free. The entire current FAS team can sign up. If you want to participate in one, two or three, all you have to do is fill in this form.
