This biopic tells the story of Monty Stratton, a pitcher for the Chicago White Sox whose life takes a dramatic turn when he loses a leg in a hunting accident. Stratton’s life story is part of a series that explores how cinema has used baseball as a metaphor to reflect the values of American society. The film will be screened on Tuesday, May 13 at 12 PM in the UAB Cinema Room.
