21st International Conference on Research into Teaching of Social Sciences

On 5 February at 4:00 p.m. the UAB Faculty of Education will offer the 21st International Conference on Research into Teaching of Social Sciences, where the topic will focus on the relationship between research and innovation: a necessary dialogue between school and university. Pilar Benejam, geographer and doctor in Paedogogy by the UAB and Neus González, researcher in the Department of Language and Literature Education and Social Science Education, will be taking part in the conference. Following the conference there will be a paper presentation session.

The 21st International Conference on Research into Teaching of Social Sciences is focused on the collaboration between education centres of different levels as a means to face common challenges found in the teaching and learning of social sciences. The topics under debate will be research, innovation, teacher training, democracy, historical memory, diversities, hate discourses, and gender perspective.
 
The conference is organised by the PhD Programme in Education of the Faculty of Education, the Social Science Education Unit, and GREDICS (Social Science Education Research Group). This activity can be validated as 20 hours of teacher training by the Ministry for Education of the Government of Catalonia.
