The UAB's Observatory for Tourism and the CORE in Cultural Heritage has organised for 15 and 16 November, the First Sessions on Enotourism and Cultural Heritage with the aim of analysing the enotourism sector and giving visibility to the relation between enotourism and cultural heritage, with the Vallès counties as a study case.
Addictions will be the main topic discussed at the fifth seminar by the UAB CORE in Mental Health. Organised in collaboration with the Dexeus University Hospital, the seminar will take place there on 15 November. Among other topics, experts will be discussing what are known as behavioural addictions, such as addictions to digital technologies or sex.

The pilot programme is already under way and aims to demonstrate the feasibility of a sustainable collection, cleaning and reuse system of wine bottles from Catalonia's wine industry. The reWINE project, coordinated by the UAB Research Park, includes four wine cellars, 50 restaurants and over a dozen of stores from around Catalonia.
L'Observatori del Turisme i el Patrimoni, i el CORE Patrimoni Cultural de la UAB organitzen les I Jornades d'Enoturisme i Patrimoni Cultural a Catalunya que reuniran a professionals i estudiosos de l'enoturisme per reflexionar al voltant d'aquest sector econòmic emergent, i analitzar el cas del Vallès. Les jornades se celebraran el 15 i 16 de novembre.
The Second Call of DOC-FAM COFUND programme (DOCtoral training programme in Functional Advanced Materials) is open until 30th November 2018. It is coordinated by the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC).
The research team has created a method which quickly and easily discovers the antibiotic-resistance pattern of a clinical sample. This will permit doctors to choose the most adequate antibiotic treatment for patients with severe bacterial infections, thereby avoiding an indiscriminate use of antibiotics.
The CVC and the UAB offer 15 sessions open to citizen participation to experiment with artificial intelligence and computer vision in particular. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays, from 7 November to 26 February.
