The UAB Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, through the CORE in Cultural Heritage, will participate in the project entitled "Cultural Sustainability in the Vall d'en Bas". The project will serve as a pilot programme in Catalonia to integrate different heritage areas into the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
On 9 and 10 May the IBB will open its doors with the aim of sharing its activities with the rest of the university community and undergraduate students interested in research conducted at the institute.
The UAB Communications Library and General Newspaper Archives will be exhibiting "50 Years of Research at the UAB", which includes a collection of research projects conducted since the founding of the university and the technological evolution of its laboratories. The exhibition will be inaugurated on 29 April.
The Signal Processing for Communications and Navigation research group participates in the HANSEL project, chosen by the ESA to analyse new technologies for smart and sustainable cities. Apps will be tested on campus as part of the Smart Campus Living Lab.
The Observatori de l'Urbanisme and the UAB Estil de Vida i Salut research group collaborate in the project with the Sant Pere de Ribes Town Council and the Barcelona Provincial Council to bring the natural park closer to people with the aim of improving their health and quality of life.
On Wednesday 20 February ViLab was inaugurated in Sant Cugat. ViLab is an innovation space dedicated to the city's wine-making cultural heritage. Participating in the project is the CORE in Cultural Heritage and the Observatory for Tourism of the UAB.
The UAB and the Computer Vision Centre (CVC-UAB) participate in a pilot programme which seeks to equip libraries with spaces for social innovation and citizen participation as part of the Barcelona Provincial Council's initiative BiblioLabs.
The UAB, the UAB Research Park, Eurecat and the Àmbit B30 Association have signed an agreement which sets the bases for future partners of the Hub b30 platform.
