New collaboration agreement with the Faculty of Education

The Faculty of Education and Fundació Autònoma Solidària signed a collaboration agreement that aims to strengthen education towards social transformation and promoting human and sustainable development in university studies, both within the Faculty and in university.

Dr. Joaquín Gairín, dean of the Faculty of Education, and Jordi Prat, director of Fundació Autònoma Solidària, signed a collaboration agreement that aims to strengthen education towards social transformation and promoting human and sustainable development in university studies, both within the Faculty and in university.

The result of this agreement is a workplan that includes workshops based on the Sustainable Development Goals from the United Nations addressed to students, organizing special trainings on this matter for teachers, promoting the Service Learning in the Faculty, spreading the TFG Awards in the field of sustainable development and global justice that FAS holds every year, participation in different initiatives around the right to asylum and migration and the Awards to an educative campaign in matters of SDG addressed to students.

Expected activities within this signed agreement are framed in the FAS ESDU programme, with the support of the Barcelona City Council. On this matter, FAS also signed a collaboration agreement with UAB’s Engineering School and is expecting to collaborate with three more faculties in the current academic year.
 

 

International recognition of excellence

The Fundació Autònoma Solidària (FAS) a university-based social organisation created in 1999 that collaborates in applying social, solidarity-based and cooperative policies for the development and equality of opportunities at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. 
To do this, the FAS designs and executes university social-action and awareness-raising projects, promoting a critical spirit with the ultimate goal of generating social impact aimed at fostering social justice and the improvement of the general environment and people’s quality of life.
