A research led by Jordi Surrallés has identified a new genetic syndrome caused by mutations in both copies of the FANCM gene. The results, published in Genetics in Medicine, suggest that these mutations predispose the body to early formations of tumours and chemotherapy toxicity.

Researchers at the UAB have come up with a method that allows measuring the strength of the coherence of superposition in any given quantum state, similar to the famous Schrödinger's cat, which was simultaneously dead and alive.
