On Thursday 16 October at 12 noon, the first edition of "DocèncIA: space for questions and answers" took place in the UAB Auditorium, an initiative that aims to promote debate on the uses and challenges of artificial intelligence in the field of university teaching.
The university community (students, teaching and research staff, administration and services staff) elected its senate representatives through an electronic voting system. Members can view the provisional results at the elections website (in Catalan).
From 13 October to 10 December, the UAB Healthcare Service will be running a flu vaccination campaign for the entire university community.
Josep Llopart Barceló, former manager of the University, passed away on 17 September 2025. The UAB extends its deepest condolences to those who knew and loved him and expresses its sadness for having lost a member of its community.
The UAB campus services will offer a combination of remote and in-office attention with special opening hours during the month of August. Train and bus lines to and from campus will also function on different timetables, which can be consulted on the UAB Mobility and transport website.

The UAB Vice-Rector for Training and Teaching Innovation, through the Institute for Education Studies (ICE), will write up a new series of Educational Studies Reports that will offer an in-depth analysis of the factor influencing teaching processes within the university.
Laura Pons Martínez, student of the PhD programme in Surgery and Morphological Sciences, has won the first prize in this year's “Thesis in 4 minutes” competition of the UAB, endowed with €800. She will go on to represent the UAB in the final phase, organised by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, on 3 July at 5:30 p.m. in the Espai Fundació “la Caixa” in Girona.
