From 17 to 21 June, the UAB organises a new edition of the Erasmus Staff Week, where administrative members from different worldwide universities spend a week at the UAB.

Video covers 50 years of student activism at the UAB
On 14 May the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology presented 50 anys del moviment estudiantil a la UAB, half a century of student activism in celebration of the UAB's 50th anniversary. The presentation took place at the faculty's conference hall.
SAF's summer promotion includes no registration fees
From 3 to 23 June, the SAF offers a summer promotion for all members of the university community with no registration fees in both in-person and online registrations.
New winner of the “4 Minute Thesis” competition
Miriam Rosás, a PhD student in Advanced Immunology, won first prize in the UAB's “4 Minute Thesis” competition. She was awarded a cash prize of 800 Euros and will represent the university in the final phase, organised by the FCRI and to be held on 4 June.
International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia
The documentary I hate New York (2018) by Gustavo Sánchez will be screened on 14 May in Sala Cinema de la UAB on the occasion of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphohbia and Biphobia. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Gustavo Sánchez the movie’s director; Gerard López, film editor and former UAB student; and Alma Pereira, representative for the LGTBI+ society “Sin Vergüenza UAB”.
The UAB to celebrate its second edition of the “Four Minute Thesis” competition
The competition will begin on 16 May at 10 a.m. at the Sala de graus of the Doctoral and Graduate School. The event will consist in ten PhD students who will have a maximum of four minutes to defend their thesis. At the end of the competition the jury will select the two best thesis and all those attending will be able to vote for the thesis they liked best.
The UAB leads with degrees in the 5 top positions in the El Mundo ranking
The UAB leads this year's edition of the El Mundo ranking - in charge of analysing the 50 most popular university degrees in Spain - and is the university to have the most number of degrees in the first 5 positions, with a total of 24. The top UAB degrees include Veterinary Medicine, Audiovisual Communication, Advertising and Public Relations, Environmental Science and Political Science and Public Management.
Gemma Nierga and Ramon Gener will lead a masterclass on La Marató de TV3 a Comunicació
The Faculty of Communication Sciences will host a masterclass on La Marató de TV3 on Tuesday, May 21, at 11:00 in order to showcase the keys to the success of this television show, It has become a benchmark. Gemma Nierga -Alumni UAB- and Ramon Gener, presenters of the program in the 2018 edition, will conduct the event.
Open days at the IBB
On 9 and 10 May the IBB will open its doors with the aim of sharing its activities with the rest of the university community and undergraduate students interested in research conducted at the institute.
