Monday 14 October marks the start of the "Campus Activities", an initiative which began last year to foster the organisation and attendance of students in a series of activities which will take place throughout the academic year - all are held from 1 to 3 p.m. - during which academic activities will not be held.
The Cultura en Viu Unit changes the schedule of its film projections to accommodate PAS and PDI members interested in attending during their lunch break. The current programme offers a cycle on economics and business and another on the films by Federico Fellini.
The SAF invites the university community to participate in its open day and enjoy a free master class, taking place on Thursday 19 September at the SAF facilities from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The UAB will no longer generate 13,017 tonnes of CO2 each year thanks to the acquisition of 100% sustainable energy, equivalent to the emissions generated by 36,000 train trips from the UAB to Barcelona every day during an entire year.
During the month of August, UAB campus services will have special opening hours and some will close for a short period. Train and bus lines to and from campus will also function on different timetables.
Arnau Noguera Segura just graduated from the secondary school Institut Antoni Torroja in Cervera and is the student with the highest mark to enter the UAB, with a score of 13.866 out of 14. He will be studying Genetics and although he finds it hard to imagine what this new phase will be like, he is very excited to begin university.
Given the high temperatures foreseen for the next few days, the UAB Area of Prevention and Support offers safety measures for all members of the university community.
The UAB aims to raise 15,000 euros through a crowdfunding campaign to contribute to helping refugee students continue their university studies.
From 17 to 21 June, the UAB organises a new edition of the Erasmus Staff Week, where administrative members from different worldwide universities spend a week at the UAB.
