On Wednesday 21 October, the European project reWINE, coordinated by the UAB Research Park, organizes the conference “Let us commit to reusing wine bottles”, in which it will present the main results of the pilot test of a sustainable system for the collection, cleaning, and reuse of glass bottles in the Catalan wine industry.
The Separation Techniques Group (GTS) at the UAB and Leitat Technological Center launch the AsFree project to show an innovative and economic system that filters effluents polluted with arsenic. Researchers point to a 600% improvement in the efficiency of this depuration system.

The ECIU University, the European university of which the UAB is member, will receive 2 million euros in funding from the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme, to strengthen theh research and innovation activities of the future SMART-ER (ECIU University Research Institute for SMART European Regions).
