Recommended student material

Prior to the Master program, an intensive propaedeutic course of two weeks is offered to the students who do not have an undergraduate degree in anthropology. The course (which is free of charge for admitted students) provides an introduction in the history of anthropology, key concepts and anthropological theories, and research techniques.
 
To the students who wish to prepare themselves for the Master program during the summer, we recommend one of the following readings:

Furthermore, we recommend reading a classical ethnography (or alternatively, a modern one focused on a theme of the student's interest). Some suggestions of classic ethnographies are:
