Access
Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.Admission requirements
have taken a subject related to Genetics (in general, or a specific area) as part of their degree;
Selection criteria
Once admission is granted, places will be allocated according to the following criteria:1. Academic transcript (70%).
2. Curriculum vitae (20%).
3. Personal interview (10%).
The committee will interview those who cannot certify that they have level B1, in order to ensure that they would be able to follow the classes without difficulty.
Complementary training
Students from Bachelor’s degrees who, depending on their previous studies, cannot demonstrate having passed a minimum of 18 ECTS credits in subjects related to Genetics may need to take and pass some bridging courses.
The Master’s degree committee will analyse the previous studies and deicide whether or not students are required to complete bridging courses.
Bridging courses for the Master’s degree consist of a maximum 18 ECTS credits distributed as the following subjects of the Bachelor’s Degree in Genetics, which are offered during the first semester at the Faculty of Biosciences:
- Cytogenetics: 6 ECTS credits
- Medical Genetics: 6 ECTS credits
- Eukaryotic Molecular Biology: 6 ECTS credits
