Official Master's Degree in Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity

Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

This master’s program is mainly aimed at graduates in Psychology and graduates or diploma holders in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. However, it also includes university graduates in Health Sciences or Education who are interested in studying Sport and Physical Activity Psychology, as this is a field with a strong interdisciplinary tradition that draws on research results from different disciplines.

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants exceed the places on offer, places will be allocated in accordance with the following selection criteria:
  • Bachelor’s degree/pre-EHEA degree in Psychology or Sport Sciences or Physical Education: (30 %)
  • Academic File of the undergraduate degree (30 %)
  • Specific training in the area of Psychology of Sport or specialized post-graduate studies in this area (25 %)
  • Work experience in the field of Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (10 %). Value will be given if work has been undertaken continuously or sporadically (minimum six months) on tasks related to these professional profiles. To prove such experience, candidates must accredit such experience by means of certificates issued by companies, sports associations or sports centres. The coordinators of the master’s degree will assess, if necessary, the candidates’ professional experience.
  • Motivation letter outlining how to achieve the objectives of the master’s degree arguing their reasons to undertake the master’s degree (5 %).

For students coming from university degrees in Health Sciences, they must choose, to complete the established complementary courses up to a maximum of 30 ECTS, from the following subjects of the Psychology degree (each worth 6 ECTS):
