Students interested in enrolling in this degree should have an interest in all things related to the language, literature and culture of English-speaking countries, as well as a great ability to learn languages in general, and English in particular.
Students also should have a solid foundation of English in order to be able to delve deeper into the study of the English language, its literature and the culture of English-speaking societies. They additionally will need to demonstrate having synthesis, analysis, comprehension, reasoning and abstract thinking skills, as well as a good oral and written expression in both English and in their native language.
It is recommendable that students be avid readers, with an interest in communicating in English and in the professional activities related to the study of the language, culture and literature, such as teaching, text translations and editing, intercultural communication and management, the development of language technology applications, etc.
