The UAB will celebrate its 9th Health and Sustainability Week from 16 to 20 April: over 50 activities (workshops, conferences, races, sports, and many more) open to all members of the university community with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle. On Wednesday and Thursday there will also be food trucks and live music.
The UAB Alumni Beijing Chapter was born with the objective of maintaining ties with former UAB students in Beijing, favouring networking between communities and fostering peer-to-peer relationships.
The UAB will be showcasing its academic programmes for the 2018-2019 academic year at the Saló de l'Ensenyament (14 to 18 March) and Futura (16 and 17 March). Both education fairs will take place at the Montjuïc Fair venue in Barcelona.
On 8 March, the UAB's Physical Activity Service (SAF) opens its doors to celebrate International Women's Day with activities designed especially for women. Registration is free and allows visitors to attend all of the day's programmed activities.
The UAB ranks 31 worldwide in Veterinary Medicine and is amongst the top 100 univeristies of the world in 15 more disciplines, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject.
The Interuniversity Council of Catalonia (CIC) has announced a new call for the Serra Húnter Programme which will be open until 20 April. The UAB offers eight tenure-eligible lecturer positions.
On Tuesday 6 March the UAB organised an institutional celebration of International Women's Day, which this year paid homage to Professor Montserrat Solsona. Different activities have been held on campus throughout the week, all dedicated to 8 March.
