2026 Social Economy Awards, Roca Galès Foundation

Safae Benmoussa and Matteo Ravazzolo, students of the Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation, have been awarded the first prize in the 2026 Social Economy Awards granted by the Roca Galès Foundation, for their Master's Thesis entitled Towards Digital Sovereignty: Feasibility Analysis and Proposal for the Implementation of Platform Cooperativism in the Catalan Social and Solidarity Economy, supervised by Hector Sala, professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

The Faculty of Economics and Business is holding the 4th Teaching Innovation Conference on 28 and 29 October

The Faculty of Economics and Business of UAB is organizing the 4th Teaching Innovation Conference, to be held on 28 and 29 October 2026 in the Sala de Graus. Two of the sessions, Sessions 3 and 6, will be conducted online.

The conference will open with a welcome address by José Luis Muñoz, Vice-Rector for Training and Teaching Innovation, and Alex Rialp, Dean of the Faculty. The first day will combine two hands-on workshops on generative artificial intelligence tools for teaching, Gemini and Gemini Notebook, with a session on supervising final academic projects in the age of artificial intelligence.

The second day will focus on the evaluation of teaching at the Faculty during the 2025-26 academic year and on teaching innovation projects developed within the Faculty. It will also include a joint workshop for faculty members and master's students on the Master's Thesis in the age of AI, and will conclude with a session on the limits, risks, and responsible use of artificial intelligence in teaching.
