Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., every other week.
Sleep disorders are highly prevalent and affect people of all ages and backgrounds. Insomnia, sleep apnoea, parasomnias, and restless legs syndrome are among the most common disorders, although many others often go unrecognised.
This programme provides comprehensive and up-to-date training in sleep disorders, with the aim of equipping future professionals with a broad, integrated understanding of this field, which is essential for promoting health and well-being.
Teaching is delivered through face-to-face, practice-oriented learning, with access to state-of-the-art facilities, including:
- Sleep Laboratory, where students gain first-hand experience with the main diagnostic and therapeutic techniques.
- Clinical simulation facilities and operating theatres, where students become familiar with the latest surgical advances, particularly those used in the treatment of sleep apnoea.
The programme also benefits from the participation of professionals from the Multidisciplinary Sleep Unit at Parc Taulí Hospital, leading specialists from a range of disciplines who contribute their expertise and experience in a field for which there is currently no other dedicated qualification.
Supported by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), this programme offers a unique opportunity for specialised training, designed to meet the real needs of professional practice while opening new pathways for specialisation and career development.
