International Welcome Days now under way

All through the week of 14 to 19 September the International Welcome Days are taking place, a week of activities to welcome the Autònoma's international students. The aim is for these students to get to know the UAB campus, services and associations, and meet up with other international and local students.

The UAB maintains its position among the best 200 universities in the world, according to the just-published QS World Rankings. This university is ranked 190th, despite the changes that QS has made to its methodology.

Experimental magnetic wormhole

Magnetic wormhole created for first time

Scientists in the Department of Physics at the UAB have designed and created in the laboratory the first experimental wormhole that can connect two regions of space magnetically. The device could have applications in medicine, opening up ways to make MRIs more comfortable for patients.
