On 30 April and 7 May this year's Family Day will take place, in which future university students and their families can visit the campus, the different faculties and the Vila Universitària.

The UAB and the Catalan Committee to Help Refugees sign collaboration agreement
Ferran Sancho, Rector of the UAB, and Miguel Pajares, President of the Catalan Committee to Help Refugees, signed a collaboration agreement to carry out joint actions such as help refugees continue with their university studies.
UAB Archaeology Campus to be created at Guissona
One of the UAB's archaeology campuses will be located in the town of Guissona. On Monday 25 April the UAB and the City Council of Guissona will sign the agreement to create the archaeology campus, which will be located at the Roman site of Iesso.
The UAB-CIE Sphere to incorporate 25 researchers from the P-SPHERE call
The post-PhD researchers, from 14 different countries, will join UAB-CIE Sphere centres in the following months. The P-SPHERE Programme for recruiting experienced researchers will open a new call in autumn.
The UAB welcomes administration staff from European universities
From 18 to 22 April, the UAB organises a new edition of the Erasmus Staff Week, where administrative members of different European universities spend a week at the UAB.
Spain and Japan agree on the installation of four new telescopes on the island of La Palma
The telescopes, with participation of the UAB, IFAE and IEEC, will form part of the future Cherenkov Telescope Array in the Northern Hemisphere (CTA-North) at the Roque de los Muchachos Observatory.
Microbial biosensor designed to evaluate water toxicity
UAB researchers have developed a paper-based biosensor covered in bacteria which detects water toxicity. This is an innovative, simple and inexpensive biological tool which can detect several contaminants and can be easy to use in economically restricted areas or developing countries.
SAVING-E Project launches its official website
SAVING –E project, leaded by researhers in the Department of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering at the UAB, has officially launched its brand new website.
The UAB reduces energy consumption by 17%
The UAB, which improved its position this year from 127 to 20 in the GreenMetric World University Ranking, consumes 17% less energy than five years ago, with a decrease in energy consumption of 70.3 million kWh.
