New winners of the UAB's "Thesis in 4 Minutes"

On 18 May, at 11:30 a.m., the UAB held the final of its "Thesis in 4 Minutes" competition. The jury awarded first prize to Clara Puig and second prize to Joaquim Viñes, and the audience voted online to choose a third winner, Eloi Guerrero.

New health screenings at the Bellaterra campus

From 5 to 7 May, the Ministry for Health of the Government of Catalonia organises a second edition of health screenings for all members of the UAB community with the aim of detecting asymptomatic cases of COVID-19 and those who have already had it.

The "Thesis in 4 minutes" competition to be held on 18 May

The competition to find the best presentation of a PhD thesis under 5 minutes will take place on 18 May at 11:30 a.m. A total of twelve PhD students from the UAB will give an oral presentation of their research. The two top presentations will receive 1st and 2nd prize, and a third prize will be awarded to the one most liked by the public.

The Social Sciences Library wanted to pay tribute in the form of a virtual and face-to-face exhibition to Professor Arcadi Oliveres, from the Department of Applied Economics at the UAB, Faculty of Economics and Business Studies, who died this April 2021.

Successful participation in the 2021 UAB Floral Games

The adversities of the current situation have not been able to stop the celebration of the UAB Floral Games, which this year had more than 300 proposals. The participation has been very diversified, since in this edition students of all degrees and masters have been able to participate, including exchange students and alumni. Next Wednesday April 21 at 1 pm the awards ceremony will take place.

The UAB with the support of the Community Involvement Unit will make Sant Jordi’s Day possible on Campus. During the week of April 19-23, a community reading will be held in front of the Resource Center, following all safety regulations.
