- Reveal. Web from Center for Investigative Reporting. You can find a large number of research reports as well as videos and podcasts from the Reveal radio program.
- International Federation of Journalists. International organisation formed by journalists and federations from more than 100 countries. It defends the freedom of the press and the organization of journalists. In its publications you can find topics as copyright, media concentration, journalism and human rights, trade unionism, etc.
- Reporters without borders. International association for press freedom. It defends persecuted journalists, cares for their safety and denounces censorship. It publishes an annual report on the state of press freedom in different countries.

- My news. Provides access to the complete text of printed and digital versions of diverse newspapers, mainly at a national level, from 1966. It allows you to search by keyword and refine by date, section, newspaper, etc.
- PressReader. Provides access to the current version, in original format, of thousands of newspapers and magazines from 100 countries. Only available the archives of the last 3 months. List of titles.
- Proquest News & Newspapers. Access to the full text of over 3.000 newspapers, news websites and blogs from leading publishers throughout the world. Includes newspapers such as The New York Times, The Times, Financial Times, the Guardian, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, etc. Allows search by keyword, geographically and by title.
- Factiva. Database of current affairs and business. Indexes both national and international press.
- Westlaw International for Academics. Database of USA law and legislation, subscribed by the UAB libraries. In the section "News" you can find an exhaustive data indexing service.
- Kiosco y más. Platform that offers access to El País, ABC, and Cinco días. The files can not be downloaded.

- El Quiosc. Compilation of newspapers, magazines and of the press databases subscribed by the UAB; on this same page you can also search by date. It also compiles press databases on free access, many of which include digitised old press. It also provides information about which database service indexes every publication, a link to their digital versions and to the UAB catalogue if the publication is received physically at the library.

- Sound library of the Universitat Jaume I. Formed by more than 76,000 digitised discs (LP, singles, CD) of all kinds of styles, coming from the Cadena Ser of Castellón. The music can not be downloaded.

- Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC). Regulatory authority of audiovisual communication in Catalonia. It is responsible for ensuring the contents of audiovisual media, both public and private. It publishes annual reports on the audiovisual sector in Catalonia, as well as other publications and research studies. Its website includes a map of radio and TV stations.
- Catalan Films & TV. It includes databases of productions, co-productions, professionals, audiovisual companies and festivals.

- Cine. Website of the Ministry of Culture. It includes a database of films (Spanish and foreign feature and short films) with audience data (number of spectators and box-office). It also includes statistics, festivals, grants, Spanish Film Archive, etc.
- National Commission on Markets and Competition. Regulates the Spanish market of electronic and audiovisual communications, as well as other sectors. It acts with organic and functional autonomy and with full independence from administrations and market agents. It will make public all the dispositions, resolutions, agreements and reports that it dictates. It includes databases of agreements and reports where you can search by keyword and limit by sector.
European scope
- Media Landscapes. Exhaustive website of the European Journalism Centre with information on the media industry in the different countries of Europe. Includes press, audiovisual media (radio, television and cinema) and Internet. It also offers information on organizations, regulation, study centers, information sources, etc.
- European Audiovisual Observatory. Public organization that provides a comparative European overview of the audiovisual industry in different European countries as well as detailed analysis of national and even regional industries. It publishes reports, statistics, data on distribution and exhibition. It contains the Iris Merlin database (articles on legal information), Lumiere (data on admissions of films released in European cinemas), MAVISE (television channels and corporations) and AVMS (national transpositions of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive 2010/13/EU in the EU member states)
- Creative Europe MEDIA strand. European Union web to support to the audiovisual industry. You can find grants for distribution, production, etc.
International scope
- Kemps Film and TV Production Services Directory. International directory of audiovisual production services. It allows the search by country, product or company. From each company it gives contact information, staff, presentation and in some cases a gallery of works.
- Federal Communications Commission. Agency responsible for implementing communications law and regulations in the USA. It grants radio and television licenses and radio frequencies and ensures compliance with regulations. The website contains a large number of tools, documentation and databases.

- Internet Movie Database. IMDb is the most complete international database on cinema. - Filmaffinity. International film database with two versions, in Spanish and in English. You can search by title directors and actors. The results include paragraphs of reviews of some publications and user ratings.

- Movie Review Query Engine. Powerful database of film reviews. Focused on English spoken cinema, it also includes some films in other languages. The reviews are from the American media (and secondly from the United Kingdom) and include the general press, specialised magazines, etc.
