The specialisation diploma in Gender and Human Rights is an online training with synchronous teaching that addresses feminist theories and practices of Law. The aim of the studies is to expand or improve knowledge regarding rights from a gender perspective, the contributions of feminism to Law and the ways to build practices capable of transforming the legal field.
In addition, the collaboration with teachers from various universities in Latin America will allow obtaining an intersectional and interdisciplinary vision of the development of rights and public policies in the different Spanish-speaking countries. It will also be possible to expand the vision of the contributions of legal feminism in the rest of the world.
This study is aimed at lawyers and social science professionals (political science, sociology, psychology, criminology, social work, etc.).

Career opportunities

-OUTPUT IN THE ADVOCACY FIELD: specialization in gender, sexist violence, anti-discrimination law in civil, labor and/or administrative jurisdictions.
- JUDICIAL PRACTICE EXERCISES: specialization of judges, staff of the Judicial Office of all jurisdictions.
- OUTPUT LINKED TO SOCIAL AREAS AND HUMAN RIGHTS (labor relations, criminology, social work, social education, pedagogy, sociology, political science, psychological: understanding of the challenges that affect rights from a gender perspective.
-OUTPUTS LINKED TO PUBLIC ADMINISTRATIONS AND PUBLIC POLICIES. Development of the gender and human rights perspective in the sectoral public policies of various administrations
- OUTPUT NON-JURIST PERSONS (social, psychological, medical or public administration sector): understanding of the legal sphere and challenges that affect rights from a gender perspective.

Internships

UAB masters and graduate diplomas may include or facilitate external academic internships in companies or institutions in order to help the student to achieve a level of expertise that facilitates the insertion or promotion in the workplace.

For this study programme non-curricular (optional) internships are possible:

  • Non-curricular
    As a UAB student, you have access to the University occupation portal, the Occupability Service, through which you can participate in selection processes for non-curricular practices as well as getting a contract. In both cases, you need to sign up to the Nexus application.
