When planning or reforming public spaces, it is essential to identify the key physical, human and social factors involved, with the aim of favoring informal social controls and integrating spaces, as well as the involvement of users in the management and use of these spaces.
If crimes and the perception of insecurity, both subjective and objective, tend to be concentrated in very specific spaces, it is necessary to analyze the aspects that promote it: human, spatial, public facilities, mobility, economic and leisure activities.
Only by influencing these factors of environmental prevention is it possible to reverse this perception in a stable and solid way.
Environmental prevention is multidisciplinary and all the fields of knowledge that are related to it only partially deal with it from their academic discipline. This training offers professionals a joint, comprehensive and complementary treatment of the knowledge and skills necessary to work effectively in the field of environmental prevention.
