Information:
We offer exams to the university community, professionals, and anyone over 16 years of age who wishes to accredit their language proficiency.
Important note: All exams are conducted in person.Our certificates
Catalan exam call for levels A2 and B1 (January 2027).
Dates and schedules: Taking the exam (January 2027)
- Exams will take place between February 3 and 4.
- Schedules will be specified before registration begins.
Registration is required for:
- Virtual course students
- In-person course students
- Blended course students
- Extraordinary call candidates
- Independent candidates who are UAB staff or students
Registration dates: From January 8 to 14.
Registration is done via UAB Tickets.

Time slot booking for different exam sections:
Once registered, you must book a time slot for the different parts of the test via My Management. The booking period is from January 25 to January 26.
Attention (candidates with special needs): must be indicated at the time of registration along with submitting the PIUNE report at least 10 working days before the test.
Results:
Results are published on February 9 via individualized email.
As for Language Service certificates, they are issued within an approximate period of seven business days.
Reviews:
Candidates have the right to a review. Support can be requested according to established regulations.
Complaints:
Can be submitted through the tickets application.

- Intermediate B2: February 22, at the latest by 12 p.m.
- Proficiency C1 and Advanced C2: March 12, at the latest by 12 p.m.
Certificates are sent within 10 working days after the publication of grades.

C2 Catalan exam call exclusively for students of the July courses.
Test dates and schedules
- The written exam will take place on July 24 at 9:30 AM.
- The oral exams will be held on July 22 and 23.
Time slot booking for the different parts of the exam
You must book a time slot for the different parts of the test through My Management (Les meves gestions). The booking period is from July 15 to 17.
If time slots are not booked within the established period, it will be considered that you waive your exam rights.

Results are published on September 9, by 12:00 PM at the latest, and will be sent via email.
Certificates will be sent by email within ten business days after the grades are published.

Candidates have the right to a telephone review. Telephone support will take place during the week of September 14. Days and times will be specified on the day grades are published.

Catalan exam call for C1 and C1 levels for teaching and research staff (PDI).
Test dates and schedules
Exams will take place between October 5 and 9.
- Written part: Friday, October 9 at 9:30 AM.
- Speaking test: between October 5 and 8. Exact days and schedules will be specified in September.

- C1 PDI: from September 23 to September 27. (Limited places depending on available vacancies in the September PDI course)
- C1: only open to July 2026 C1 students.

In this call, you can take the Level 2 Catalan Language exam for Early Childhood and Primary Education Teachers.
ATTENTION! This is not an official Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level accreditation test; it is a test to fulfill the Catalan language requirement of the Faculty of Education for the Early Childhood and Primary Education bachelor's degrees.
Dates and schedules of the tests
- Written test: Friday, May 29 at 1:00 PM.
- Oral expression test: Between May 26 and May 29.
Registration, fees and time slot booking
Only students enrolled in Early Childhood and Primary Education bachelor's degrees at UAB can register for this exam.
- Registration dates: May 4 to May 15.
- Registration location: Language Service Secretariat.
- Customer service hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Approximate number of places: 70 candidates.
- Exam fee: 100% subsidized.

The booking period is from May 19 to May 21.
Attention: If you do not book a time slot to take all parts of the exam through the UAB Idiomes website, you will be considered to have waived your exam rights.
Test-takers with special needs
UAB Idiomes will try to adapt the tests to the special needs of test-takers with any type of disability. Therefore, candidates must indicate that they have a special need at the time of registration. UAB Idiomes will personally contact you so that PIUNE, or another specialized center if applicable, can prepare a report detailing what adaptations need to be made in each case. The Language Service must receive the PIUNE report no later than 10 working days before the start of the first part of the exam.

Exam review:
The Language Service will offer two collective sessions. These are technical tutorials where correct answers to grammar and vocabulary items are provided and the criteria used to evaluate written and oral expression are explained, but they are in no way individualized or formative tutorials.
The sessions will take place the week of June 29.
Exam description
The Level 2 Catalan exam for Early Childhood and Primary Education Teachers falls within the C level band of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This exam focuses on the evaluation of lexical, grammatical, and orthographic knowledge, as well as oral proficiency, colloquial registers of the Catalan language, and written expression.
The exam consists of three parts:
- Lexical, grammatical, and orthographic knowledge test
- Written production test
- Oral production and interaction test
