- Apply information processing techniques and the organisation of the library's printed and electronic resources within the framework of the sustainable development objectives.

- Manage the library's collection, resources and services using the most common technological tools.
- Assess books and resources according to quality criteria (textual, communicative, and linguistic), while considering aspects such as diversity and inclusion.
- Suggest fiction and non-fiction books and resources that are appropriate to the distinct types of target audiences and to being used for educational or promotional intervention.
- Design research projects with objectives and tools for data collection and analysis, in real contexts in the field of libraries and/or reading promotion.
- Analyse different types of information according to whether it is qualitative or quantitative.
- Ensure the social responsibilities of inclusiveness and universality are respected in the application of your knowledge and judgement in the development of reading promotion projects.
- Guarantee the ethical principles linked to access, participation, and use of information in the development of research in formal and informal education.
- Develop strategies for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship in the field of school libraries and reading promotion.

- Generate proposals for improvement or new projects based on the information obtained in a diagnostic study.
- Create proposals for the dissemination of cultural and reading activities using tools that are appropriate both to your own projects and others in the educational or social context.
- Plan library projects, school reading programmes and proposals for the social promotion of reading, while considering the suitability of the context, the theoretical approach, the necessary planning, the methodological design and the evaluation strategy in specific school and social environments, including those that are unfamiliar or multidisciplinary in nature.
- Undertake projects based on ethics and human rights (social justice, gender equality, etc.) in professional and/or research practice, as well as effective use of ICT, in the context of school libraries and the educational community.
- Put into practice your training and profession in terms of cooperation for teamwork, the management of interpersonal relations and good use of ICT.
- Present a reading development project or research in a comprehensive and convincing way to specialised and non-specialised audiences.
