Access

Access to this master's degree is open to holders of an official bachelor's degree from a Spanish university or from another higher education institution within or outside the European Higher Education Area, provided this gives access to postgraduate studies in the country of issue.

Admission requirements

Admission to the master's degree is subject to the result of an online entry test to assess candidates' knowledge of business tourism, of Spanish and of English. For both languages the minimum level required is B1 of the Common European Framework for Languages. The result of the test will be shown as "Pass" or "Fail". Only those with a "Pass" grade will be able to continue with the admission process.

The following documents must be submitted to carry out pre-registration:

  • Academic transcript
  • Curriculum vitae highlighting any previous training or experience in business tourism
  • Cover letter

Selection criteria

Should the number of applicants be higher than that of places on offer, these will be allocated according to the following criteria:
  • Academic transcript(50%)
  • Curriculum vitae highlighting any previous training or experience in business tourism (25%)
  • Knowledge of the languages used on the master's programme: Spanish and English (levels above B1 will be scored higher (10%)
  • Interview for pre-registered candidates (15%)

Complementary training

Holders of official university degrees in the following subjects: Tourism, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Journalism, Audiovisual Communication and Advertising and Public Relations, will not be required to take bridging courses. Holders of other degrees will have to take the bridging course Basic Principles of Business Tourism, of 1 credit.
