From 11 November to 20 December the UAB Healthcare Service will hold its annual influenza vaccine campaign addressed to all members of the university community (staff and students), especially those at a high risk of developing flu-related complications.
Green light for the creation of an Equality Commission, delegated by the Governing Council, which will be in charge of coordinating the university's Equality Plans, and of promoting and supervising prevention and action policies in possible discriminatory situations, attitudes, etc.

The Association of Economists has awarded the Joan Sardà Dexeus Prize (ex aequo) for the book “The Oxford Handbook of Productivity Analysis” , co-edited by Department of Business professor Emili Grifell-Tatjé. The awards ceremony took place on 30 October in Barcelona as part of the annual Economists Gala Dinner.
Already more than 1,500 entrants have signed up for the UAB Solidarity Run on Sunday 15 December. This year all money raised will go towards research into rare diseases, the focus of this year's TV3 Marathon.
On 15 December, the UAB will once again hold the 8th edition of the Solidarity Run in support of the TV3 Marathon, dedicated this year to rare diseases research. For the first time, the run will pass through the centre of Cerdanyola.
On 9 October, systems engineer Hervé Falciani will offer a conference entitled "Tax Fraud" in the official opening of the 2019/20 academic year. The event will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the conference hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies.
