Cycle talk
Description:
We are attaching the program for the new edition of the IEC-ARA cycle: "IEC questions: we ask, we understand, we talk" organized by the Institut d'Estudis Catalans, in collaboration with the ARA newspaper. This cycle of thought, which is part of the commitments made in the Catalan Strengthening Plan, aims to respond to the great challenges of the present.
We invite you to the first talk of the Cycle that will take place on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:30 p.m., in the Pi Sunyer Room of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (carrer del Carme, 47 in Barcelona).
On this occasion we will reflect on the question:
"What will be the next pandemic?"
Along with the environmental crisis, and linked to it, health security is one of humanity's greatest challenges. How long will it take for the next pandemic to arrive? Are we ready for it - medically, socially and politically - or have we already forgotten the lessons of the coronavirus?
and we will have the participation of IEC members Clara Prats, physicist and researcher, and Antoni Trilla, epidemiologist. The session will be moderated by Gemma Garrido, Head of Society of the newspaper Ara
At the end, a drink will be served on the patio.
