CTA gamma ray telescopes to be located on the island of La Palma
The Roque de los Muchachos observatory has been picked as the northern-hemisphere location of the 20 telescopes that make up the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). Taking part in the project are researchers from the UAB, the IFAE, and the ICE-CSIC/IEEC.
European Commission spotlights UAB research project on urban agriculture
An ICTA study on the potential of urban rooftops for agricultural production has been highlighted by the European Commission in the latest edition of the bulletin Science for Environment Policy.
Therapeutic target identified for treatment of spinal cord injuries
UAB researchers have identified a therapeutic target for the treatment of acute spinal cord injuries. According to this research the administration of a drug increases the mobility of mice that have suffered a spinal cord injury.

Nil Rodellas has won the Argó Prize for his secondary-school research project – one among 200 that were submitted – on the mathematical concept of non-Euclidean geometries. He has picked the UAB to do Physics and Mathematics next year.
Ítaca Campus 2015 comes to an end with a closing session at the Hotel Campus
On 16 July,at 6 pm, the Hotel Campus will host the closing session of the second and last round of the Ítaca Campus programme, which lets secondary-school students spend two weeks at the UAB.
