The ICTA-UAB has received its accreditation as a “María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence 2015” from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness. The CRAG and the ICMAB have received the Severo Ochoa Seal of Excellence.
With 6,527 full-time students from abroad, the UAB has this year achieved 17.6% internationalisation in its teaching programmes. In the case of official master's degrees 40.7% of students are from other countries.
The European project LIFE-SAVING-E, coordinated by the Department of Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering, is to build a pilot-scale urban wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that can generate energy instead of consuming it.
The Faculty of Communication Studies has organised a new edition of TICLaude, an initiative aimed at all UAB students interested in taking on an entrepreneurship project. Students can enrol until 7 February.
The UAB occupies 20th position worldwide among the 407 universities studied by the University of Indonesia according to environmental criteria.
Once again, the UAB is organising its Open Days to make its course offer known to future students. There will be a web app on the event and also a photography contest.
Art comes to the UAB campus: The exhibition Margarita Andreu. Space and Light: Workshop Materials opened on 26 January, in memory of the artist Margarita Andreu; and the exhibition Woman's Voice Breaking Stereotypes, by the artist Marika Vila, will open on 1 February.
