Success of the UAB race to raise money for the TV3 Marathon

The 6th edition of the Cursa de la UAB in support of the TV3 Marathon, which took place on 13 December, was a complete success despite the low temperatures. This year's winners of the 6.4 race were Iván Limia Boo and Estefanía Chamorro Padilla, and there was also a 45 minute walk around campus. Technology consultants STP Group were this year's sponsors for the race.

The UAB's Open Days

The Open Days, which will take place on 6, 7 and 8 February on campus, will include 200 talks in different centres on almost 100 bachelor's degrees offered by the UAB in the next academic year.

Sixteenth edition of the Workshop on Food Microbiology

The Centre for Food Technology Innovation, Research and Transference and the Department of Animal and Food Science at the UAB have organised the 16th Workshop on Rapid Methods and Automation in Food Microbiology, taking place from 21 to 24 November at the auditorium (Sala d'Actes) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

On 16 November, the Friends of the UAB Association will celebrate their annual event with awards for Ana Ripoll, Josep Font, Antonio Franco and the CREAF. The Library and Social Council awards will also be given.

The Gegants return to the UAB in celebration of its 50th anniversary

In commemoration of its 50th anniversary, the university's giant costumed figures created in 1988, known as Gegants, have returned to the UAB. Members of the Colla gegantera of Molins de Rei, in charge of restoring the giants, were also in charge of parading them during the Festa Major which took place on 9 November.

Bicycle Day at the UAB

On 31 October the UAB will celebrate its annual Bicycle Day. As part of the Sustainable and Safe Mobility Week, the university offers activities for the whole university community.
