The IMB-CNM organises a pre-launch event on the BepiColombo mission to Mercury
On Friday 19 October at 12 noon, the d'octubre, a les 12h, the Barcelona Microelectronics Institute branch of the National Microelectronics Centre (IMB-CNM, CSIC), located on the UAB campus, will offer an information session previous to the launching of the BepiColombo mission, with talks from experts who participated in the project. The space probes include components manufactured at the Bellaterra campus.
New Protocol to prevent and act against harassment
The UAB Governing Council approves the new Protocol to prevent and act against sexual and sex-based harassment, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and male chauvinist violence.
The UAB and the ALBA Synchrotron collaborate in the search for new fish vaccines
A research team from the IBB-UAB and the ALBA synchrotron is developing a new vaccine concept to protect farmed fish from the main viral diseases affecting them. The alternative proposed by them is an orally administered nanoparticle.
ExperimentAI to be held at the Library Living Lab
The CVC and the UAB offer 15 sessions open to citizen participation to experiment with artificial intelligence and computer vision in particular. Sessions will be held on Wednesdays, from 7 November to 26 February.
Sports Fair organised by the UAB's SAF
The SAF (Physical Activity Service) organises a sports sections fair for students who are interested in exercising and playing sports on campus to obtain information on all the activities available to them: competitions, teams, sections, etc. The fair will take place on Thursday 27 September at the SAF facilities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sustainable mobility campaign
Twenty-four universities in Spain simultaneously participate in a video competition coordinated by the UAB (under the European U-Mob project) to award the creations which best represent the values of sustainable mobility at university.
New teaching in English support programme
The Language Service offers a support programme for lecturers giving classes in English. The programme consists of two courses, a practical teaching sessions and certificate.
The UAB opens a new academic year dedicated to the rights of migrant people
On 6 September the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site played host to the inauguration of the 2018/19 academic year. The inaugural speech was given by Òscar Camps, founder and director of Proactiva Open Arms, who affirmed that aiding migrants and refugees "is a pragmatic and moral decision".
