Annual flu shot campaign underway

From 21 October to 18 December the UAB Healthcare Service will hold its annual influenza vaccine campaign addressed to all university members, especially those at a high risk of developing flu-related complications or form part of risk groups.

The FAS volunteer programmes resume their activities after the summer holidays and call out to students who are interested in forming an active part of the university by participating in social actions: with prisons, schools, refugees, hospital patients, and the environment and health issues.

UAB students win the Ecotrophelia competition

Five students from the Food Science and Technology have won the 11th edition of the Ecotrophelia España 2020 Competition, held with the objective of creating new ecological and innovative food products. The winning product consisted in a dessertin the form of a small cube.

On campus services available during August

During the month of August, UAB campus services will have special opening hours and some will close for a short period. All work that can be done remotely or online will be given priority in all those areas in which presence is not mandatory.

Second semester evaluation questionnaires

The 2019/20 second semester evaluation questionnaires corresponding to the evaluation of distance teaching and of the tools and facilitites used during the covid-19 crisis are now available. Both questionnaires can be answered until 17 July.

Interview to the winner of the UAB Jocs Florals!

Santo Astorino is the winner of the UAB Jocs Florals. He won with the poem “El  mundo enfermo” (The Sick World), inspired by the lockdown we are experiencing. In his second Erasmus in Barcelona, he gave an interview to talk about how he is living this situation and the price he has been recently awarded as the winner of the contest.

Winner of the UAB's 4 Minute Thesis participated in the FCRI final

Inés Villarroya won first prize in the UAB 4 Minute Thesis competition, with a cash prize of 800 euros, and represented the University in the final phase, organised by the Catalan Research and Innovation Foundation, which took place on 25 June at 5 p.m. The event was streamed live.
