Quality at ESAGED
Archival and Records Management - Escola FUAB Formació (ESAGED) of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, as a centre specialised in the field of archival science and records management, aims to achieve broad academic, professional and social recognition at national and international level through the transmission of knowledge, assistance in the development of the competences and skills inherent to the speciality, and research.
To this end, ESAGED has established an Internal Quality Assurance System that ensures students, the academic community and other stakeholders the full satisfaction of their needs and expectations in all matters that relate them to the centre.
As a university centre included in the Registro de Universidades, Centros y Títulos (RUCT), ESAGED implements its quality policy following the guidelines and protocols designed by the various public administrations, and especially by the Agencia Nacional de Evaluación y Certificación (ANECA) and the Agencia para la Calidad del Sistema Universitario de Cataluña (AQU).
The centre's own Internal Quality Assurance System refers to:

Every year, an operational plan detailing the lines of action, resources, persons responsible, deadlines, assessment indicators, improvement proposals and implementation schedule is defined, in order to develop a quality policy aimed at implementing, deploying, reviewing, disseminating and improving an Internal Quality Assurance System.
At the same time, ESAGED applies a records management policy that provides a strategic framework to ensure that the records generated through its activities are created and maintained in a controlled manner, ensuring the creation and management of authentic, reliable, complete and usable records while they support business activities and for their future preservation in order to preserve corporate memory.
On 8 February 2013, ESAGED received certification of its management system for records in accordance with ISO 30301 from the Certifying Body International Global Certification (IGC).
