The widespread power outage continues to affect mobility in public transport. Given the uncertainty about when normality will be restored on campus and the official recommendation to minimise travel, suspension of all academic activities will be maintained until Tuesday 29 April at 2:00 p.m.
The renovation and expansion of the Wi-Fi network at the Edifici Blanc has been completed, with the goal of improving coverage and connection capacity for students and users. This upgrade is part of a broader update process across the UAB, implementing the new Wi-Fi 6 Protocol.

The inauguration of the new academic year 2024-25 and the graduation of the Class of 2023-24 will be celebrated. During the event, the winner of the Best Master's Thesis Award will also be announced.
This November, from the 20th to the 23rd, the 18th edition of the Image and Research Conference (Antoni Varés Conference) will take place, aiming to reflect on and share knowledge and experiences related to various aspects of photographic and audiovisual heritage management. These conferences have been organized by the Centre for Image Research and Diffusion (CRDI) of the Girona City Council since 1990, every two years.
Over the course of three years, the team coordinated by the UAB has co-created open-use digital cultural content that is now available for consultation and adaptation to the project's Memory Centre Platform.
On 6 April, the UAB will be holding an institutional event entitled "Vent de l'est: guerra i pau als confins d'Europa" [Wind From the East: war and peace on the edges of Europe], in which members of the university community from Serbia, Rumania, Russia and Ukraine will share their impressions on the conflict currently taking place in Ukraine. The event will begin at 1 p.m. at the Journals Hall of the Humanities Library, at the Faculty of Arts & Humanities.
The book, a product of the work done by the Archives and Human Rights Section of the International Council on Archives (ICA), explores the relationship between archives and human rights, with examples from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
The short film #comsomcomensveuen (whatwe’relikehowtheyseeus) is part of the Master’s Degree Final Project by Gerard Vilanova and portrays the opinions and reflections of a group of professional archivists. In addition to being chosen as a finalist, the documentary is also a candidate for the People’s Award, votable until October 23.
