Study

Access requirements

You will be able to access a qualification by changing to foreign university studies if you have partial or total foreign university studies that have not been recognised or are not equivalent to the level of your degree in Spain.

Necessary requirements:

  • That 30 or more credits of the degree for which you are applying for admission have been validated.
  • If 75% or more of the total credits of the degree of destination are validated, you will not be able to access the degree, except in those cases in which there are vacant places, and the vice-rectorate of the corresponding university authorises it.
  • If between 1 and 29 credits are recognised, you may apply for admission through university pre-registration only to the degree programme and centre that appear in the recognition resolution with a grade of 5 or over.
  • If no credits have been recognised, you will have to join the corresponding general admission procedure.

For the purposes of credit recognition and the academic transcript of previous studies, the grades you have obtained up to the deadline for submitting your application for admission will be considered.

The Ministry of Education offers the possibility of carrying out a free online procedure to issue a document of equivalence of the average grades of studies and university degrees obtained abroad for the corresponding Spanish university degrees. You can read the instructions via this link.
