Hand surgery is a sub-specialisation of orthopedic surgery and traumatology. Day-to-day practice involves specific theoretical and practical knowledge of the upper limb, as well as knowledge and skills in anatomy, surgical access routes, osteosynthesis, arthoscopy, cutaneous surfaces and microsurgery.
Learning is acquired through many years of studying other centres and specific courses in areas such as arthroscopy, osteosynthesis and microsurgery etc. To help students acquire this knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in an orderly manner, we offer this diploma course in wrist and hand surgery.
The subspecialisation in hand surgery will allow students to acquire basic but essential knowledge to carry out the most usual techniques, and a level of theory to present for the (European Board of Hand Surgery Diploma examination) of the (Federation of European Societies for Surgery of the Hand-FESSH).
