This course is aimed at visual and plastic education and music teachers at different educational levels (primary, secondary and high school) interested in incorporating the Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) and Musical Thinking Strategies (MTS) methodologies as a pedagogical resource to enrich their teaching practice.
The training introduces VTS, a methodology based on attentive observation, active listening and the collective construction of meaning from the observation of visual works. Based on this framework, the MTS proposal is also presented, which transfers these principles to the musical field and opens up new possibilities for working with sound experiences. Values such as inclusion, cooperation, creativity and critical thinking constitute its central axes.
The objective of the course is focused on practice and seeks to provide specific tools so that teachers can apply VTS and MTS in the classroom, both with visual works and with musical and sound experiences, promoting students' observation and argumentation skills, as well as their communication, social and critical reasoning skills.
The course has an intensive format of two consecutive sessions (Friday and Saturday).
- Single group: Friday 20/02/2026, from 16:00 to 20:30, and Saturday 21/02/2026, from 9:00 to 13:30.
The final objective is to provide teachers with resources applicable to the classroom that promote enriching educational experiences, oriented towards the personal, social and artistic development of students.
To enroll in the training, no knowledge of art or specific qualifications are required.
