This microcredential in intrauterine contraception is aimed at midwives who wish to expand their clinical and care competencies in a key area such as sexual and reproductive health. The course is designed to promote competency-based training, integrating up-to-date theoretical knowledge, technical skills, and a professional attitude grounded in autonomy, responsibility, and shared decision-making with the woman.
The program combines theoretical sessions, simulation, and real clinical practice to ensure direct application of what is learned. It focuses on clinical reasoning and scientific updates, as well as the development of skills such as effective communication, contraceptive counseling, and safe IUD insertion.
This training addresses the new challenges of the healthcare system and provides tools for midwives to take on a proactive and autonomous role in the comprehensive management of intrauterine contraception, thereby improving accessibility and quality of care.
