Are you interested in staying up to date with music education? This microcredential is for you.
The Faculty of Education Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) presents a new in-person study designed to address the most relevant challenges of the current educational system: you will be provided with strategies and resources to work on emotional education, inclusion, gender equality, and community building in the classroom, all through the transformative power of music.
This 3-credit microcredential is aimed at active music teachers, as well as professionals from music schools, arts centers, and conservatories. It is a unique opportunity to acquire innovative pedagogical tools that will allow you to transform your classroom into a more inclusive, equitable, and connected space with the sociocultural environment.
Choosing this microcredential means opting for training that integrates pedagogical innovation, inclusion, gender-focused education, and community impact. Through the practical experience of proposals designed for the music classroom, this program will enable you to integrate emotional education into your classes and reflect on the comprehensive development of students.
Additionally, you will work with intercultural musical resources adapted to the needs of all students, thus promoting an equitable, diverse, and perspective-rich education. This training will also provide you with tools to reflect on and implement didactic proposals that contribute to gender equality in music education, fostering a classroom that breaks stereotypes and promotes social justice.
Finally, you will learn to develop strategies that strengthen the bond between schools and the community, leveraging the power of music as a driver of educational and social transformation to foster a meaningful and contextually committed learning environment.
