We want to emphasize the importance of education in historical and democratic memory in classrooms, responding to the new curriculum that calls on us to preserve memory for future generations. It is important that the study of memory serves to relate the past with the present and, ultimately, is oriented towards the construction of the future, which is known as historical consciousness. The GREDICS group at UAB has a long tradition of teacher training and the creation of materials on education in memory and historical consciousness. In this study, we want to offer a series of resources and materials to design learning situations about historical memory, starting from historical questions and problems that challenge reality. We want to share with teachers the reflection on historical education and the resources and materials we use. Our proposal is the result of many years of research and the construction of innovative proposals. Addressed to education professionals at all educational stages, both in the field of social sciences and other disciplines. We will try to provide the necessary tools to design and execute learning situations, with theoretical and practical training.
The course is designed intensively over 3 afternoons in February and 1 at the beginning of March, starting at 5:15 p.m. This microcredential could be part of future specialization and postgraduate diplomas if taken together with other microcredentials.
