This microcredential is aimed at individuals connected to the field of formal education, such as primary and secondary school teachers, artists, and anyone interested in artistic creation and the relationship between culture, nature, and construction. It is a training program that invites participants to develop deep environmental awareness through the practice of postnatural constructions: creative and architectural processes that merge natural materials, ancestral techniques, and contemporary innovations to inhabit the world in a sustainable and interdependent way.
The program is structured around three main phases, representing the life cycle of postnatural constructions:
- Perceive
We will develop ecological sensitivity through observation practices, walks, and micro-explorations of the landscape. We will detect materials, rhythms, and agents in the territory that can become part of the construction process. This attentive perception will allow us to identify relationships, patterns, and hidden potential in the environment.
- Build
Based on the materials found and shared knowledge, we will initiate collective creation processes, combining artisanal techniques with contemporary intuitions. We will work with elements such as clay, paper, reclaimed wood, plant fibers, mycelium, water, natural light, or organic remains, exploring their physical and symbolic properties. The goal is not so much to create artworks as to build relationships: between bodies, materials, and environments.
- Inhabit
We will turn place into space: activating what we have created through artistic, educational, and performative practices. These postnatural architectures will become devices for generating learning, encounters, and new connections with the more-than-human world. With this microcredential, we aim to bring people closer to a way of making and inhabiting that recognizes nature as a fundamental part of our being and our future, fosteringamultispecies and planetary consciousness that transcends traditional dichotomies and promotes care and coexistence with ecosystems.
- Ecofeminism and situated artistic practices.
- Pedagogical architecture and territory.
- Natural materialities and local construction systems.
