The microcredential is aimed at secondary education teachers who want to explore the analysis, understanding, and critical transmission of the historical processes that have generated and sustained inequalities over time. It proposes to update the topic of inequality from a historiographical perspective and provide teachers with tools to design contextualized situations. The microcredential's proposal is to use historical memory to promote learning, enhance reflection, critical reasoning, and empathy among students. The course will consist of 7 sessions where 5 thematic axes will be addressed from a historical perspective, such as:
a) slavery and human rights,
b) the evolution and behaviors of economic inequality,
c) the distribution of natural resources,
d) gender inequality in nutrition, and
e) the role of migrations.
In each of the sessions, case studies and specific initiatives will be examined, which we will explore in teaching practice through 2 workshop sessions where methodological strategies in the classroom will be shared.
