Since its inception, the Avedis Donabedian University Institute has considered training as one of the key strategies to introduce quality improvement in organizations.
The Avedis Donabedian University Institute has developed an important teaching activity in which health service professionals have participated.
The purpose of the training program is to expand and enhance thematic areas that can better meet the needs of professionals and institutions.
The Avedis Donabedian University Institute presents the university specialization program in the field of quality and safety of care at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The online format has allowed access to new professionals from different countries in the eight previous editions of the program and updating the more than twenty face-to-face editions carried out.
In the development of face-to-face editions, we have had students from multiple places, including European and Latin American countries. The online editions have allowed us to reach more professionals, meeting their training and qualification needs in the areas of quality and safety of health care.
The program aims to introduce and deepen these disciplines with different levels of specialization. Two different degrees are proposed:
Master's Degree in Quality and Safety Management of Health Care;
Diploma of specialization in Quality and Safety Methodology in the field of health;
Each of these degrees has its corresponding itinerary and all of them have a common methodology that, through an online platform, live and recorded classes, seminars, exercises and supervised practices, in direct contact with our teaching staff, facilitates the students' work and allows them to achieve levels of knowledge and skills in line with their needs and expectations.
